YAC | Young Artists in Conversation was set up in August 2013 by curator and writer David McLeavy as a research project and space to host interviews with artists, curators and more.
The term ’young’ isn’t about age but refers to the exciting early stages of a creative career, where many artists and practitioners face a unique set of challenges. The conversations hosted on YAC are aimed at opening up the perspectives of a wide range of artists, curators and creatives and offering a resource for others looking for some guidance in a somewhat cloudy sector.
YAC now works with a growing team of writers who have the opportunity to interview the artists that they want and to ask the questions that they want.
